20MnCrS5 is a carburized steel with high strength, toughness and good hardenability. After heat treatment, the properties are better than 20Cr. Quenching deformation is small, low temperature toughness is good, machinability is good, but weldability is low. Generally used after carburizing, quenching or tempering.

It can also be used to manufacture small and medium-sized parts with medium load and small impact, instead of 20crni, such as gears, shafts, spindles, friction wheels of variable-speed equipment, worm, sleeve of governor, etc.

In what applications is 20MnCrS5 used?

20MnCrS5 is used for manufacturing shaft and connecting rod under high speed and high bending load, gear mercury without strong impact load, water mercury rotor, clutch, bolts of cover plate of high pressure vessel, etc.
